Therapeutic Laser

We offer Pegasus Therapeutic Laser Therapy! Therapeutic Laser is used in veterinary medicine to accelerate healing for wounds, joints, and deep tissue injuries. It also relieves pain and inflammation.  Therapeutic laser treatment is a painless procedure, and does not require sedation. Many horses actually enjoy it!

Laser therapy works on a cellular level by stimulating cells to increase their metabolism (photobiomodulation). This causes the affected tissue to regenerate quicker, thus decreasing inflammation and healing time. The term “LASER” is an acronym for “light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation”. It uses a single invisible wavelength light, which penetrates tissue.

We treat many conditions with therapeutic laser, including wounds, osteoarthritis, bony lesions, tendon and ligament injuries, deep muscle pain/tears, and inflammation and swelling.
